Natalia Belomestnova specializes in commercial disputes, disputes related to protection of IP rights, antitrust disputes, bankruptcy and international arbitration.
Natalia has significant experience of representing Russian and foreign clients in commercial courts, international arbitrations (inter alia, in front of Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Arbitration Court at ICC, ICAC, ICSID) and Federal Antitrust Services in Russia.
Alongside with commercial disputes (arising out of supply agreements, contracts of work and labor, lease agreements, etc.) Natalia takes part in protection of clients’ interests in:
- administrative proceedings at the Federal Antitrust Services (prosecution for abuse of dominant position, prosecution for unfair competition by usage of IP object etc.);
- bankruptcy of debtors in all stages of the proceedings, in meetings of creditors, in returning debtor’s property to the bankruptcy estate;
- disputes related to the protection of IP rights;
- enforcement and recognition of arbitral awards in Russia and abroad.
Among recent successful projects of Natalia are:
- All-round representation of two major creditors in the bankruptcy proceedings of International Industrial Bank CJSC;
- Representation and consulting of Volkswagen Group Rus in bankruptcy proceedings;
- Representation of Swedish cosmetic company in a number of litigation proceedings against Russian customs services challenging the inclusion of royalty for commercial name and know-how in the customs value of the goods;
- Representation of Novorossyisk Grain Terminalin a dispute with the Federal Antitrust Services (FAS) challenging the decisions of FAS which claimed the abuse of dominant position on the market by setting monopolistically high prices;
- Representation of a number of international banks in disputes with the borrowers in commercial courts in Russia and in arbitration proceedings at ICAC of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia;
- Representation of the Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat in its dispute with the Russian developer over the breach of copyright (Arbitration Institute of SCC);
- Representation of a major European automobile producer in a number of disputes over the supply agreements (ICAC of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia);
- Representation of a Panamanian company in enforcement of the ICAC arbitral award in Japan.
Natalia holds LLM in International Arbitration (University of Stockholm).
