Andrey Goltsblat is a managing partner of Goltsblat BLP; admitted, 1987, Russia; 1994 J.D. He concentrates primarily on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, joint ventures, different types of investment projects as well as counseling directors and senior management of domestic and overseas companies in connection with investment projects and deal structuring in Russia and the CIS.

His previous roles include Chief of Staff for the Constitutional Commission of the Russian Parliament.

Andrey Goltsblat and his team's recent Russia related M&A work includes advising:  Mars on the Wrigley acquisition for $23 bn.; Sberbank of Russia on its investment project related to acquisition of 25%+1 share in Detskiy mir - Center, the largest children's goods retail store network in Russia (deal value is RUR 3.4 bn); Sberbank of Russia in relation to Sportloto Joint Venture with Russkoye Loto Group; Fleming Family & Partners in a sale of an industrial project; Magna on planned acquisition of Opel business from General Motors, The Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) on a several equity investments in Russian companies; EBRD and UFG Private Equity on investments into Russian Towers, a Russian telecommunication services company; a major Russian state bank on the proposed acquisition of a software developer, Onexim Group on its acquisition of APR-Bank (currently MFK-Bank); Ashland on the buy-out of shares from its minority partner; RP Capital on the acquisition of Silver City office complex in Moscow; Equifax on the acquisition of an equity interest in Global Payments credit bureau; Danone on sale of its St. Petersburg subsidiary; LG International on its investments in the Russian coal mining sector; one of the leading publishing houses in Russia on USD 200 m sale.

The total value of M&A transactions supported by Andrey Goltsblat and his team over the last  two years is in excess of USD 25 bn.

He has also overseen legal advice to more than 600 real estate and construction projects in different regions of Russia over the last five years, predominately for major multinational investors, including Mars, Coca-Cola, Danone, Kimberly-Clark, Kingfisher/Castorama, Guardian Industries, Kronospan, Saint-Gobain, Lafarge, as well as a number of Japanese and European car manufacturers (i.e. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Nissan/Russia, Volkswagen Group, Komatsu, etc.).

Andrey Goltsblat takes an active role in the work of the Russo-British Chamber of Commence (RBCC) Advisory Council.

He is a member of the IBA (International Bar Association) and the ABA (American Bar Association).

Andrey Goltsblat has been awarded the medal of the Federal Chamber of Attorneys of the Russian Federation "For services in support of human rights and liberties".

For several years running, he has been mentioned by The European Legal 500, Chambers & Partners and Who’s Who Legal as a recommended individual in the Corporate/ M&A and Construction/ Real estate areas.
